You can probably tell by the few signs popping up around town that things are continuing to heat up in this fall's municipal election.
Nominations were closed on August 21 particularly with candidates for Deputy Mayor. Here is a complete and final list of candidates:

I highly recommend that residents looking for a clear picture of the candidates and what they represent attend the sessions hosted by the Blue Mountain Ratepayers Association at the LE Shore Library in Thornbury. I am scheduled to appear there on October 1, a session which is from 7 pm-9 pm with Paula Hope first and my session starting at 8 PM. There are very limited tickets, and registering is quick and free, so if you are interested, here is the link.

I have started going door to door in all the different neighbourhoods in our municipality. It has been amazing to connect with voters one-on-one as I do this to hear their concerns. Also, the support I have been getting has been incredible and is greatly appreciated. If you are willing, I'm looking for volunteers to canvas with me in their neighbourhood. Please email if you are interested.
