Hi, I’m Marni Moreau

“I’m running for Mayor of the Town of The Blue Mountains. I grew up in Clarksburg, and my family has always believed in service to this community. I’m the co‑founder of the Blue Mountain Film + Media Festival, and I’ve spent over 25 years leading teams and building business partnerships.

Now I’m turning that focus fully to our town: listening to residents, strengthening how Council and staff work together, protecting essential services, and managing growth in a way that keeps our community strong for everyone, full‑time and part‑time alike. I’m running to unite our community and lead with integrity.”

CORE PRIORITIES

  • Managing Growth Sensibly 

    • Safeguarding taxpayers, community character and agricultural lands from inappropriate growth. 

    • Applying measurable, time-bound frameworks to all capital projects

    • Exploring options and prioritizing fiscal transparency, managing decreasing development charges

    • Expanding our infrastructure while preserving the Town’s character

  • Preserving and Protecting Vital Services

    • Protecting farmland as a permanent economic and environmental asset

    • Ensuring essential services support a sustainable, year-round community

    • Expanding access to primary care and long-term care

    • Supporting integrated housing solutions for local workers, seniors and families

  • Leading a Collaborative and Trustworthy Town Hall

    • Reducing dependency on Staff reports and external consultants

    • Creating a respectful relationship between Staff, Council and Residents, translating experience into our long-term vision.
