Meet Marni Moreau

Clarksburg-raised community builder

with diverse local perspectives.

Legacy of Family Service

Marni Moreau grew up in a Clarksburg family dedicated to service, learning early the value of community ties that define The Blue Mountains.

Her father, Peter Moreau, is a former councillor who was the key fundraiser for the Beaver Valley Community Centre, Moreau Park, and LE Shore Library.

Her late mother, Barbara, was an RN at Errinrung and was a decades-long volunteer for Beaver Valley Outreach and Beaver Valley Athletic Association.

Successful Business Career

With deep local roots and 25+ years of experience outside of the region, building partnerships and delivering results, she’s ready to bring steady, practical leadership to Town Hall.

  • 25+ years in senior sales and media partnerships by building trust and negotiating positive outcomes for all parties

  • Success in growing her advertising portfolio at Rogers Sportsnet by over 40%

  • National top-performer in sales at CMH Heli-Skiing

  • Co-founder, Blue Mountain Film and Media Festival (now in its fifth year)

Marni earned an Honours degree in History from Western University and spent time working in Japan before building her career in Toronto. She excelled in high-stakes media and sales, managing partnerships for brands like Tim Hortons, Ford, and TD Bank. She later returned home to raise her blended family of four boys, committed to the kind of community where neighbours look out for each other. She’s also a non-denominational wedding officiant, helping people mark life’s biggest moments.

Family & Friends

Marni is married to her husband, Dan Skelton. Sons, partners of sons, and lots of friends mean there is always a lot of activity at the house.
